A new trailer has dropped for WA-shot drama, Pieces ahead of the film’s world premiere at CinefestOZ.

Pieces follows an art teacher and her recovery class who are commissioned to make the backdrop for a professional dance performance. As a documentary film crew record the process they uncover the incredible personal stories of the students and their battles with mental illness.

These experiences not only mould and transform the final performance, but also their lives and the life of their teacher.

Monique Wilson, Dalip Sondhi, David Genat, Allegra Teo, Murray Dowsett, Justin Hewitt, Luke Jai McIntosh, Megan Aspinall, Alex Arco, Milu Green, Katherine Marmion, Ashanti Suriyam and Jasmine Lucas star in the film.

Pieces is directed by Martin Wilson who’s previous film was creature feature, Great White. The film is written by Monique Wilson and produced by Martin Wilson and Nicole Ferraro.

Pieces will screen at CinefestOZ on Saturday, 27 August. Details here. An official release date is expected to be announced soon.
